All through their history The Nighthawks have helped further the cause of blues/roots music, not just in the greater Washington DC area but around the world. Whether it was helping pull together a touring network of the travelling bands, providing back up to a who´s who list of players or encouraging other musicians to keep at it. The list would be pages long of the music people that owe some measure of thanks to The Nighthawks.

 

The recordings of this CD were gathered from a number of different rooms over the last part of 2001 culminating in the 30th Anniversary show at the State Theatre on New Years Eve as well as the Full Moon Saloon, Bentz Street Raw Bar, Sunset Grill, Whitey´s and The Half Moon BBQ.
